  • I thought it was a museum to tell the story of the writer, but what a great bookstore with many of his titles.

  • The library is spectacular. It has an impressive variety of options. There is always good news. Gallery is very good and its temporary exhibitions are first, the current of Gabriel Ortega is magnificent.

  • This beautiful building terrace offers a great view of the city's colonial area as well as nice place to read a book. Once there, you must visit the Fondo de Cultura Económica bookstore, one of the biggest in the country. Good photography exhibitions usually take place in the main hall of the building.
  • The place is just beautiful. The fact that you can find so many books in such a unique environment makes the experience very enjoyable.
  • Interesting place, pity no event was going on when I visited
  • Excelent cultural offer, a huge bookshop and great architecture.
  • Here's a library where you can find the most rare books. An amazing architectural design to walk all over the building, as all Salmona's building.

Where to stay in Bogota

Many visitors to Bogota stay in La Candelaria, a colonial-era neighborhood in the city center where you can find plenty of decent hostels and mingle with tourists from around the globe. Staying in this area also puts you within walking distance of the city's major museums and best nightlife options. If you prefer to sleep in a quieter area and visit this busy district during the day, consider accommodations in the northern section of the city, which includes the upscale neighborhood Zona T.
