Where to stay in Barranquilla

Equipped to host the largest festival in the country, Barranquilla has a good set of accommodations catering to a range of tastes, budgets, and interests. Either side of Carrera 46, find pristine chain hotels and smaller independent options with extensive amenities, such as rooftop swimming pools, modern spas, and popular restaurants. Look to the more residential areas for budget-friendly guesthouses, and consider booking a rental apartment if planning on a longer stay. Economical options cluster around Paseo Bolivar, but note the area can be rather sketchy. Be sure to reserve well in advance if planning on visiting for Mardi Gras in February.

  • It was disgusting been there. The room that they gave us for a full price was a dump, worst than the worst motel in the world. Images talk more than thousand words. Dirty, wrecked and nasty.

  • No wi fi no hot water no microwave refrigerator didn't work no iron or ironing board rooms very old didn't not give us soap or shampoo every day turned off our electric every day so the room was hot every night when we came back all Spanish on tv no English bar closes at 10 pm no entertainment lots of issues for a place that could be awesome the pictures lie don't stay here THE BEST THING HERE IS THE STAFF THEY DID EVERYTHING TO TRY AND MAKE US HAPPY THEY ALL NEED RAISES AND GO TO WORK AT A BETTER HOTEL !
  • Being a Colombian native and from Barranquilla, I had such high hopes for this hotel. There wasn’t one single good experience I can count from this hotel, first when they say free Wi-fi they mean in the lobby area since the signal is so weak it does not reach the rooms, there are no ice makers in the whole hotel, if you want ice you have to go buy it across the street. The breakfast food seemed to be reheated every other day and the staff is not very attentive in the restaurant. There is no staff after 4 pm for any housekeeping needs or emergencies. But what distressed me the most is that I was changed from rooms due to the mattresses being in horrible state and they were all in the same state, you can see the actual springs through the fabric, needless to say it was impossible to get a restful night sleep when those springs are poking you all night long, which is sad since a comfortable bed is the least any hotel should offer regardless of how many stars they have. I have gotten better rest at less expensive hotels in the USA. There is no mini bar service and if you want water, you have to go and buy it from an outside store, management is a total joke since all they say is “I’m sorry, but there is nothing I can do about that” for every issue. I could not stay for the length of my stay under these circumstances so I moved to a different place for the rest of my stay in Colombia.
  • If your looking to step back in time and stay at a beautiful Hotel then this is the Hotel for you. Exceptional service and a wonderful experience staying there.
