Historic Walking Area
Take a relaxing stroll at Camino Real, a picturesque nature trail where you'll come across a variety of wildlife and plant life. Species of bird, goats, and cows, can be seen grazing and milling around on the gentle, mostly downhill walk. The paved road is not in the best condition, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear for the excursion, and bring plenty of water. Take a camera along to capture the panoramic views. Put Camino Real and other Barichara attractions into our Barichara trip builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • This path is a required plan for those who go to Barichara, is a walk of between 1 to 2 hours depending on the physical condition, landscapes, air and the environment this way make a beautiful memory. I have crossed it twice and now want to go back.

  • A very pleasant walk, 2 hours for people who are not very athletic, but not recommended for those who suffer from knee. The first part is going down the mountain but then is more flat, i.e. descents or gentle rises. Sit backwards in time, most of the time is one immersed in the landscape and away from civilization. You must carry a bottle of water per person minimum and/or buy the first 2 points of sale (farm sheds) as there is for the third, reaching Guane, to raise at least 500 meters, which makes that one decides to follow. I didn't know that this road would be suitable to explore it now. It is better to not do it at noon by the heat and wear comfortable clothes, bags and hat. You need to promote it, is unique in the country. In keeping with the other attractions in this area of Santander

  • Nice walk of 2 hours in a quiet surrounding. Didn't see many people underway. Beautiful small towns, Barichara and Guane.  more »
