Camino Real, Barichara

(4.7/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Take a relaxing stroll at Camino Real, a picturesque nature trail where you'll come across a variety of wildlife and plant life. Species of bird, goats, and cows, can be seen grazing and milling around on the gentle, mostly downhill walk. The paved road is not in the best condition, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear for the excursion, and bring plenty of water. Take a camera along to capture the panoramic views. Put Camino Real and other Barichara attractions into our Barichara trip builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Is a moderate walk 5 km by the old road of peanut brittle until the village of Guane, flanked by stone muretas of where the cattle and goats, very cool and with beautiful views of the mountain range. No major technical difficulties, just have to be careful on the descent just outside Barichara, quite steep, and in another descent on arrival in Guane. But other than that it's a smooth path, where you can contemplate the nature and the rural environment of the region.
