Bought tickets to both the overhyped glass bridge and the Grand Canyon. Glass bridge is not worth the price and the crowd. Overhyped and not worth the amount paid. Bridge is very wide and there are 3 ...  more »

We had registered for the trip but were the only group that had registered that day, so we had a private guide. A pleasant young man who spoke very good English and us in the hotel is available for pick-up. Thanks to our guide we had to not join the long queue and we could already after half an hour on the bridge steps. The bridge is a beautiful edifice, you feel not at all unsafe, only it is not simple to take nice pictures to make because of the crowds. The view is well worth the effort. After you have visited the bridge, you can descend down through 2 roads. One way is brand new and better for who doesn't like steep stairs. Having regard to the there also the most is, we have the other (the old) off and which is much quieter and very nice to do. You have some beautiful views. Down with all the boat to come out at the exit where our van was waiting. We were more than satisfied with our guide, that our day colored with local stories and interesting facts.

Where to stay in Zhangjiajie

An abundance of accommodations can be found across Zhangjiajie, but the most popular with international tourists sit on either bank of the Lishui River. Whether you're looking for a luxury hotel or a simple guesthouse, the waterfront areas and adjoining streets remain the primary places to look. Ziwu Road the north of the city center also offers a range of accommodations to choose from, and good connections to the main natural sights in the surrounding landscape. To stay closer to the national park, stay in the town of Wulingyuan, located near the park's main sights.
