4.4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web
Learn about the history of foreign trade, investment, and immigration on the island at Huaijiu Gulangyu Museum, focusing on those who moved to the area from the west in the years following the Opium Wars. As China opened up at the end of the 19th century, foreign traders moved in and established businesses and services, such as the German bank in which this museum sits. A number of audio-visual presentations, and a wealth of European furniture, trinkets, and everyday items from the period make for an interesting museum about a clash of cultures. • 驚豔的鋼琴收藏館,超多又高級的鋼琴的博物館。看看到許多珍藏的寶藏。戶外風景優美動人,從這可看到優美的海景,值得買票進入參觀,真心推薦。
  • You will see a lot of European pianos, mostly from Germany. There is a nice view from top and you can listen to some of the pianos.
  • The Museum is really interesting, with pieces of war, as well as notes and coins, clothes, artifacts, writings, etc., showing the history of the region and European invasoes and internal wars. But it could have English labels. As I was with a Chinese friend, I could understand a little, but for those who do not have a guide is kind of complicated. But it's worth the visit.
