Explore the modern park of Xi'an Qujiangchi Site Park, dating back to the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BCE). Designed by famous Chinese architect Zhang Jinqiu, the modern-day park was rebuilt as a recreation area and opened in 2008. Centered around a 33.1 hectare (82 acre) lake, it boasts extensive walking trails, boat rides, and picturesque views across the water. Look out for the nine houses that specialize in various entertainments, including Shaanxi opera, leather silhouette shows, and a museum illuminating the ancient discoveries found on site during recent renovations.
  • Very popular place to stay. Many opportunities to spend time there. I strongly recommend it for nature lovers and photographers.
