Qing Long Si, Xi'an

3.7
#6 of 22 in Museums in Xi'an
Learn about Chinese Buddhism at Qing Long Si, built by members of the Tang dynasty in 582 CE. Having suffered damage and destruction over its long history, today the temple represents a mid 20th-century reconstruction of the Tang architectural style. Visit the memorial halls for former monks, as well as exhibits with objects excavated from the area. Take a walk or simply sit on one of the benches in the park that surrounds the temple. Since monks live and pray there, not all parts of the site are accessible to tourists. Qing Long Si is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Xi'an Edition.

  • The temple is Kūkai. Was told do not know Chinese people went on the bus at the bus stop had three of them. Perfect theme park, there is nothing of the original building. Remains were excavated ruins of seashore with 1 image in the southwest of the Park. Do not need panoramic camera in recently built the doorway on the north side, height has a width at any rate. I think from the gate of heavenly peace in Beijing is a gate, not in the Tang dynasty. It was a waste of time.

Where to stay in Xi'an

As in most Chinese cities, the least expensive places to stay in Xi'an concentrate around the main train station. To stay in a quieter and safer area, look for rooms in or near the city center, where you can choose between mid-range hotels and affordable youth hostels catering to backpackers and other travelers on a budget. Tourists with bargaining experience can usually get deeply discounted rooms through agents working the shuttle bus station at the airport. If you'd rather avoid dealing with touts, book your accommodations ahead.
