Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, Xi'an

(3/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
See the burial mound of the emperor who unified China over 2,000 years ago at Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, a still-unexplored part of a World Heritage Site. Included in some tours of the famous Terra Cota Museum nearby, the site offers a large tranquil park with archeological works and a small memorial marking the tomb of Qin Shi Huang. You will walk on a paved path in a large park, where you can observe some birds and see a pomegranate orchard next door. In fact, the whole area has thrived with pomegranates since ancient times. Towards the exit, you will see carved stone murals depicting the life and death of the emperor, with some information plaques in English around the site. • Just a 10-minute ride by shuttle bus from the terracotta army. Mausoleum of the first Qin Emperor, this is believed to be a sign to the point where there are no sights into the hills. Zhu Rongji, the Prime Minister wrote the entrance you can see the cover of the seat.

  • Very interesting place considering his historical importance, worth to pay a visit on way back from terracotta warriors site or by itself, surround by a nice park for a good stroll
  • These are three large pits that form a part of the funeral. It was accidentally discovered in 1974 by some farmers. The main ditch contains over 6,000 life-sized terracotta soldiers and horses and chariots and weapons; every soldier is different and has different expressions. Probably were colored because there are soldiers outside the mausoleum, in the Museum, which had muted colors though

  • Just a big park, nothing special indeed. The guides there were crazy, :-), they first organized the crowd of visitors pretty formally, then led us through the gate which was about 50 meters away from where we were gathered, then told us that we should explore the park ourselves, LOL!
