Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, Wuhan
(4/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Marvel at the impressive engineering of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, the first highway and railway bridge over the river. Providing an important crossing over the 6,300 km (3,915 mi) long Yangtze, the bridged opened in 1957 after two years of construction. The structure spans 1.6 km (1 mi), with observation spots on either end. Contemplate the Soviet influence in its concrete, cantilevered design, which involved the assistance of some 28 engineers from the USSR. From the bridge itself, watch ships coming and going, and admire the architecture of the city from a new perspective. Our Wuhan itinerary planner makes visiting Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and other Wuhan attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
