It is 4,678 meters in length (including 1,876 meters of the main bridge) and 26 meters in width. Its main bridgeheads are 90 meters high each, pulling 392 thick slanting cables together in the shape of double fans, so that the central span of the bridge is well-poised on the piers and the bridge's stability and vibration resistance are ensured. • Has some historical interest, but after all, it's a bridge. Now 62 years old, one of the first to cross the Yangtze river.  more »
  • This is crawl East on Takeshi side with the side yellow road bridge. Bridge no activity for tourists, but still go by car East from Hankou, the fastest to go through this.

Where to stay in Wuhan

In clusters along the river sit perhaps the most popular accommodations in Wuhan. The newer, chain hotels sit together in shiny commercial districts overlooking the water, while simple guesthouses sit in the older districts, on the more atmospheric streets of the city. Away from the river, on either bank, metro stations and parks become the centers of interest for most hoteliers and guesthouses owners, with a good mix of upmarket and budget options to be found. Some of the most luxurious options in the city lie to the east of the center, including resorts and upmarket branded hotels overlooking the lake.
