  • Participated in the tour, so I don't know in private away from the Flaming mountains. Mural in the most damaged, but atmosphere alone can enjoy 10 minutes.

  • The journey to the cave is part of the fun. The cellars were systematically ransacked (by fanatics of the corner) after that foreigners have ripped off swathes of the frescoes (it's pretty square hole in the wall). Beautiful remains to do after seeing He Jiao and the rest.

  • Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves Turpan remains of paintings and Buddhist sculpture 553533917 seems to Me essential to know the influence and spread of Buddhism as well as by the beauty of what little is left. Also assumes a memory for Albert von Le coq, who was extracting those Buddhas from the Turpan hotel which is still. It reflects the relationship between exploration and political rivalries in the so-called "great game".

  • Another nature and man-made wonder. Awesome! Art relics and paintings on caves' wall. The caves were dugged out of mountains by monks where they lived and meditated. It was badly destroyed, paintings literally "scrapped" off the mud walls and carted out of China, with the rest that they could not take away defaced.
  • Very cool place to check out! But very crowded and they only had 25% of the caves open for viewing.
  • go to see what might have been until the statues and relics were taken away in 1900 by a German I understand and destroyed during the 2nd world war ... but impressive to think what it was like before modern transportation and the commitment and respect they had to do this for the Buddha
  • Historic site
  • From the highway signs, suggests the atmosphere enough. Located near the beautiful River, is a beautiful place. Beautiful cone-shaped mountain is very impressive. Is very hot. Cracked ground is suspect. Knead shoes are so difficult.
