  • Of course, these are not the most beautiful caves of China. Especially if you compare with Mogao caves. These ones are smaller, and very much damaged. But if think it is worth to see if you are in the...  more »

  • Very cool place to check out! But very crowded and they only had 25% of the caves open for viewing.
  • go to see what might have been until the statues and relics were taken away in 1900 by a German I understand and destroyed during the 2nd world war ... but impressive to think what it was like before modern transportation and the commitment and respect they had to do this for the Buddha

  • Journey to the West is the flame coming out of the mountains lies the crypt too, but it prohibits photographing the sights
