Hiking Trail Nature / Park
Make your way up the stone steps of Taishan East Road to reach the peak of Mount Tai, uncovering treasures such as temples, rock inscriptions, and carvings along the way. Nearly 7,200 steps make up this challenging route, though you can also walk just the first 5 km (3.1 mi) and then take either a bus or cable car to the peak. Experienced hikers can make the climb in just a few hours, but you may prefer to take your time and enjoy the scenery as you ascend. No need to set off with heavy backpacks as you will find the route lined with kiosks. Take a warm jacket if you plan on descending after sunset.
