  • Visit mount Tai in the first week of March 2016. Due to don't find a clear assessment on the city of Tai'an, we decided to stay in Jinan, so our adventure starts at 8:00 a.m. in Jinan. 1-train to Tai'an our proposal was to get the railway station and take a train around that time. One thing everyone should know when you're in China is that the Chinese have the meal times well defined and these are early! Usually the 7:00 coffee, lunch and dinner around the 11:00 of the 6:00 pm. So, if you plan to take public transportation the 8:00, you will get long lines, because that's when everybody around. As mentioned previously, we arrived at the station and the line was huge, so we decided to take the train around 10:00 and enjoy to take coffee in the neighborhood. Result: no boarding queues. The train to Jinan for Tai'an takes around 20 min. 2-bus to mount Tai when we got to the train station we inform the information centre and from there sent us to two booths that we bought tickets to the park entrance and the bus. The bus cost 5rmb. Remember that this bus doesn't make the first path, those below painted blue. 3-choose the route. Much will be talking about the routes, but the truth is that you can make two cable and bus, a bus and walking and a completely walking. Looking at the map below, left: bus route blue route (5rmb), yellow bus (30rmb) and cable. Route: blue bus route (5rmb), yellow route (30rmb) and you can choose to go walking or cable from that point. The walk from that place is approximately 2:00 to climb. Or you can choose the full path, taking only a bus (5rmb) to the Red gate and making all course. This route has the average time of 4-6 hours only to go, so make sure it is with comfortable clothes, shoes, food and water you can buy for all directions, but remember that it's just drinks, popcorn, a kind of pancake of corn or some fruit. Choose the words that come out of the red gate and descend by cable car. The walk is well boring why are steps ... more than 7000 steps, so be prepared. The cable for the return cost 100 rmb. With the return by cable our trip was around 5:30 h. The map below can help to choose the route.
