Part of the Five Great Mountains of China, Mount Tai represents a significant cultural and historical hub associated with sunrise, renewal, and rebirth. The tilted fault-block mountain rises up to 1.532 m (5.029 ft) and covers the area of 426 sq km (164 sq mi). Often regarded as a major place of worship for the last 3,000 years, it served as a prominent ceremonial center and was thus listed on the world natural and cultural heritage list. Take one of many routes to explore the natural haven, which shelters peculiar rock formations, bridges, ancient trees, as well as holy temples, squares, and tombs.
