Tiger Hill, Suzhou

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
A small hillock with a rich history going back 2,500 years, Tiger Hill offers a well-maintained scenic place overlooking Suzhou. Rock gardens with man-made cascades and ponds amidst greenery draw locals and tourists alike, while the imperial architecture on the hill was a favorite retreat to five dynasties. Check out the famous leaning pagoda on the 36 m (118 ft) high hilltop, and visit the many pavilions spread across some 1.4 hectares (3.5 acres). You can take a walk across a picturesque stone bridge or get out on the water in a rented paddleboat. Hire a guide to tell you all the details about the tomb of King He Lu buried here in 496 BCE, or the well of the 8th-century tea sage, Lu Yu. • One of the places you have to visit. Beautiful and full of history. Very nice walk. Go in the morning and take boat ride to other place.
  • 是苏州平原地区的唯一一座市区的小山,很小,还把不高。但是历史悠久,吴王那个时候就呆那里。有文化,有历史,有景,有自然,值得一去。
  • A great place to visit, there are different things to look at. You can enter on one side and exit the other side.
