Surrounded by exquisite courtyards, the three-story building represents a blend of modern halls and traditional gardens. You can visit three main areas of the museum--the central, western, and eastern areas. As you stroll through the museum, inspect the vast collection of Chinese national treasures ranging from handicraft works, paintings, and calligraphy, to porcelain, celadon, and silk relics. • Beautiful architecture of the Suzhou Museum building and the garden around it.. You can find gorgeous buildings around here too. Entrance into the museum is free. Inside you can find plenty of ancient items and paintings. Very crowded especially during the weekend.
  • Suzhou Museum is designed by one of the world’s most famous architects - I.M. Pri who grew up in Suzhou. It is a must visit place of the City. The entry is for free. You can see plenty ancient and painting inside which reflect the history of Suzhou. I have spent 2 hours here. It has a lovely coffee shop but a little cosy. Better to go on weekdays to avoid the crowd of weekends.
