Suzhou Museum, Suzhou
Categories: Specialty Museums, Museums
Where Prince Zhong's mansion once stood, now stands Suzhou Museum, an exhibition building designed by a famous Chinese-American architect. Surrounded by exquisite courtyards, the three-story building represents a blend of modern halls and traditional gardens. You can visit three main areas of the museum--the central, western, and eastern areas. As you stroll through the museum, inspect the vast collection of Chinese national treasures ranging from handicraft works, paintings, and calligraphy, to porcelain, celadon, and silk relics. The museum also introduces its visitors to Chinese traditions, customs, festivals, belief systems, and folk activities. management is poor. 适合个人或者家庭参观。 人好像一直都很多。
Beautiful building encorporating local features. Pei's relatives lived in this city.
Probably the best place in Shuzou. They have some really nice and unique items.

This a really beautiful building - I.M. Pei is a native of Suzhou and he designed this for his native city. Suzhou is a mid-sized city in China with many lovely sites, including this one.
Many expensive vases n china for exhibition!but boring
