Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
The finest specimen of Suzhou's World Heritage-listed classical gardens, Lion Forest Garden features lion-shaped, highly porous limestone from Lake Tai, forming a multistory rock maze up to 7 m (23 ft) in height. In addition to its famous labyrinthine grotto, the garden features a central pond, a miniature mountain of yellow stone, a small cave, and a number of paved paths. Climb to the observation area of a pavilion once favored by Emperor Qianlong, and watch as others try to find their way out of the three-level labyrinth, which spans 1,154 sq m (12,421 sq ft) with nine paths and 21 caves. Two other richly ornamented pavilions house numerous tablets and carved screens. Use our Suzhou itinerary maker to arrange your visit to Lion Forest Garden and other attractions in Suzhou.

  • It is one of four of the best and most famous parks in Suzhou, which has existed for hundreds of years. A great place for walks with traditional pond, pavilions, etc.

  • Look at the gardens of Suzhou like, but so much I recommend hanging it's not good if you. Just big enough. Even though the sheer numbers of people on the weekend tourist destination. You'd better go at ease.

  • Lion Grove Garden is a small cosy garden with a lot of stones as you go up and down, as well as a ship/tea house in the middle of the garden with a Lake around. Super nice place and is velegenet for kids who enjoy climbing in stones, there was not the hook my 9 year boy had not studied that. Good place
