Xichong Beach, Shenzhen

3.5
#1 of 9 in Beaches in Guangdong
Named one of the ten most beautiful parts of the country by the Chinese "National Geographic," Xichong Beach packs in a small slice of paradise, popular with backpackers and surfers. Located in the southern part of the Dapeng Peninsula, and looking out over the South China Sea, the beach is exposed to vibrant sunrises--people camp out here by the hundreds to catch the first rays of daylight. Explore hiking trails in the surrounding area, including a 10 km (6.2 mi) coastal stretch to its sister beach. Expect crowds on weekends or especially nice days. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Shenzhen holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Xichong Beach and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Xichong beach is an excellent beach with warm blue water and a small amount of Chinese around. If you go a little further out along the shoreline and evade umbrellas and canopies, on the beach almost nobody will. You can pitch a tent and live in it, and you can rent a room in a hotel in the village, which is 15 minutes ' walk from the beach or rent a bungalow by the sea. The prices are affordable. If there is a desire, on the beach, you can have a barbecue, coals are sold at almost every corner, and desired products can bring or bring upon your request. Also along the coastline faces Chinese restaurants with seafood. Very tasty and fresh! Prices are also acceptable. Of entertainment, you can ride a strange Chinese banana, and you can rent a surfboard and wave porassekat. And you can go to mikropohod on the rocks and mountains to the Observatory. In General, beach zdorovskij. Its great advantage is that it can be reached by bus to the village itself, then, of course, on foot. Entrance to the beach itself 13 Yuan.

We travelled here on a Monday, mainly to avoid the weekend hordes. My husband and I are avid beach goers and have been to Dameisha, as well as almost all the beaches in Hong Kong. We decided to check ...  more »

A bunch of people, as a consequence the beach dirty Chinese-unreal all the rubbish thrown just under your feet. It was disgusting to take off your shoes at the beach. Very narrow coastline, a couple of meters. Beach and paid-seriously? For what? For dirt and piles of garbage underfoot? There is nowhere to eat, anywhere with a horizontal chifanki typical Chinese menu and inflated prices. All old, dirty, level of leisure village. I do not recommend those who are accustomed to civilized rest and comfortable conditions for whom sand and environment cleanness Wednesday. As well as for families with kids. Nature's classroom, optionally there can organize a chic resort, but alas. ...

Where to stay in Shenzhen

With the city quickly developing into a modern metropolis, Shenzhen accommodations have done well to keep up with the pace of change in the downtown area. The area south of Tanglangshan Country Park right down to Hong Kong's border offers an area rich in places to stay. Whether you're looking for some high-rise luxury, or a side-street dormitory, this central area has a large degree of variety. Located close to the main sightseeing highlights, and well served by public transport, the area stretches out to the east and to the west, with accommodations becoming less regular the further you go.
