#1 of 16 in Museums in Shenzhen
Specialty Museum Museum
East meets West at Shekou, an area of the bay featuring accommodations, shops, and restaurants catering largely to a foreign population. Since the 1980s, when major foreign oil companies secured the rights to drill in the South China Sea, the area began to serve as a base for platform workers brought over to work here. Since then, expatriates have largely settled the area. The main draw here centers around a landlocked 168 m (551 ft) long vessel that has been converted into a hotel with Chinese and Western restaurants, as well as an English bar, dance club, swimming pool, children's recreation center, and folk culture exhibition center. Around the vessel, explore a refurbished and modern commercial center, adorned with palms and fountains, and encompassing a variety of establishments. Where to stay in Shenzhen

With the city quickly developing into a modern metropolis, Shenzhen accommodations have done well to keep up with the pace of change in the downtown area. The area south of Tanglangshan Country Park right down to Hong Kong's border offers an area rich in places to stay. Whether you're looking for some high-rise luxury, or a side-street dormitory, this central area has a large degree of variety. Located close to the main sightseeing highlights, and well served by public transport, the area stretches out to the east and to the west, with accommodations becoming less regular the further you go.

  • This is food store, only. Sea food, vegetables, meat.
  • It's like here!!! A variety of seafood! Vegetables and meat dishes are very good, very fresh, and there are also several stalls selling Hubei Hunan hometown dishes can buy. There is also very authentic Chaozhou beef balls of gefilte fish stores are now selling. Roast, there are a few, very good. (In addition, most of the vendors here are supporting micro-payments.
