Xujiahui Catholic Church, Shanghai

With its neo-Gothic style and vibrant red brick exterior, Xujiahui Catholic Church stands out from its greyish monolith surroundings. Built by French Jesuits at the beginning of the 20th century, the church stands as one of the biggest Roman Catholic churches of the Shanghai diocese, accommodating up to 2500 devotees. Inside, the high Gothic arches and ornate stone columns dominate, with colorful stained glass creating a mystical ambiance.   • 徐家汇 intersecting subway line 1, line 9, line 11, walk to the Southwest and soon beautiful Cathedral you will see. This year long restoration work for curing were killed; It was a long look. I think the great cathedral and standing after more than 100 years.
