  • Lots to look at. Plenty to try. Variety of visuals and smells. Still have dodgy vendors trying to rip off unsuspecting foreign guests.
  • Very interesting. The nick knacks are plentifully and so are the food. U can just wonder away and enjoy the atmosphere there.
  • Tianzifang is one block north of Taikang road. It's narrow alleyways where ancient Shikumen-style houses have been converted into small shops and small places to munch on something. I recommend eating elsewhere, even in restaurants in the nearby Metro station, are definitely quieter, cheaper and the food is good. It's worth a ride in this area, although attracted by trade references you lose sight of the characteristic old buildings. The visit takes about an hour and I don't recommend on a rainy day, because the streets are so narrow that with umbrellas there turns.
