  • It is located in People's square can be reached by metro, and is an interesting Museum which shows the past present and future of this great city. To navigate it it takes 3 to 4 hours.

  • Very interesting Museum to better understand the city of Shanghai. 2 major attractions. An immersion in 360' via a film that takes you through the major places of Shanghai and a monumental scale 1/500 to better model view the city of Shanghai. For these 2 points of interest the visit worth it. Located at People square. Price adult 15RMB student 30RMB. The visit is well worth the € 2 to 4. Attention closes early 17 h, 16 h 50 you is already out.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Interesting exhibits. The model of the city is an absolute must. It encompasses a whole floor and there is a catwalk around it. Nice view from the small snack bar on the ...  more »

  • This museum it's simply a must to understand how a small fishing village became one of the TOP metropolis in the entire world! I was supposed to see it for a couple of hours but I ended up spending an entire day: such an incredible space on 6 multiple floors, a vast scale model of the entire urban area, 3D rooms, old history collections and virtual reality spots and so on!
  • Despite sounding like somewhere Alan Partridge would take someone on a first date this place is actually pretty interesting. Inside is a scale model of Shanghai, which as you can imagine is pretty impressive. It lights up as it goes through a speeded up day an night cycle. If you live locally you can probably find your building as well. Please avoid the temptation to dress up as Godzilla and run amok.
  • If you're interested in seeing how a Mega-City is planned I really recommend this place. You get a sense of scale and the whole museum is well planned. There is much more to this museum than just the huge diorama of the city - although that is probably the highlight. There are 5 floors of exhibits and a full size 1930s Shanghai street on the -1 level (metro station). You can learn a lot about old Shanghai and also about general urban modern planning techniques.
  • Best place to quickly get an overview of Shanghai's past, present and to understand why this city will continue to grow to be a leading world class city to live, to work and to visit as tourist. The Center uses creative multi media channels to tell the many aspects of their city. Must see early on your visit to Shanghai to obtain an orientation to enable self visit to the many interesting attractions of this exciting city especially using the on and off bus located in it's front door.
  • Good way to get a comprehensive view of China's vision for Shanghai.

Few world cities can rival Shanghai in terms of room variety, services, and prices, and all types of travelers can easily find suitable options based on their preference and budget limitations.
