  • . . . so this 3-D version really caught my attention. (The city has expanded far beyond what's displayed, though.) The place has much historical information and is quite informative. If you like histo...  more »

  • Best place to quickly get an overview of Shanghai's past, present and to understand why this city will continue to grow to be a leading world class city to live, to work and to visit as tourist. The Center uses creative multi media channels to tell the many aspects of their city. Must see early on your visit to Shanghai to obtain an orientation to enable self visit to the many interesting attractions of this exciting city especially using the on and off bus located in it's front door.
  • Cool little museum, worth an hour or two. There's a couple nice exhibits on the city's history and future development but the model of the city is definitely the main attraction here.
  • A great place to absorb the insane growth of this city.
  • Like other cities around the world Shanghai has put together a model of the city at this museum. There are also exhibitions on the history of urban development in the city and some specifically for the kids.
  • I think it is fascinating museum, reflects the biggest pressures for the city. Shame the view at the top is a bit bland. However the scale model of shanghai is amazing!
