  • We were there when the weather was sunny but not too hot. The crowd was not what one would consider bad, for this location, that is. E.g. We had a 30 min. wait for a ride a friend's cousin waited 2 ho...  more »

  • If you ever visit Shanghai, make sure you don't miss Disneyland! Took my family (with 2 young kids) twice and still did not manage to complete everything. Huge place and every day is crowded. My favor...  more »

  • I am a non-Chinese speaking American and so I was not able to fully enjoy all the park had to offer. That being said my group fully planned to leave early and there were so many things that drew us in that we stayed the full day. The entertainment is great and I loved my time there. The roller coasters aren't amazing, but the park was great.
  • Well-planned and executed park with definitely Chinese characteristics. It may not be too appealing to people from the West. However, if you want to experience but Disney and Chinese culture and people as a traveler with patience and tolerance, then it is a place to spend a day or two with your family. The Pirate of Caribbean ride is a really good ride and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish Disney brings the new technology back to the US. I was not brave enough to ride Tron but my son did six times. Areas need improvement: Customer Services, and private street vendors should never be allowed to sell fake goods in the park!!!
  • For strong Disney fans, or any family that decided to bring children on a trip to China, this is an excellent way to spend a day. Comparatively, the park is cheaper than its US equivalents, is considerably more spacious, can be easily reached by a comfortable express train, and is well groomed, making it a very pleasant place to walk and hang. Not sure when the 'busy' season is, but even on a moderately busy day, you should be able to hit all the attractions without long waits. The potential downsides? The park is geared more towards recent movie based theme attractions, with most being things you walk, or gently float/ride through, without much thrill or fantasy immersion. The Tron and Pirate action rides are excellent for adults and older children. The Alice tea garden, the mountain climb, and the pirate exploration ship, are popular with kids and have a modest amount of hands-on activity. The parade and final fireworks show is elaborate, modern and very entertaining, though its also a promo for every Disney film released in the last 10 years. If you like thrill rides, you'll find this park too thin and tame. If you don't like walking, be warned, this park is meant to be strolled through. If you just want a little Americana break, want to see how upper/middle class Chinese families entertain themselves (the bulk of the audience), or just need a day of strolling through greenery with some diversions, then I recommend Shanghai Disney.
  • The worst Disney of my life, worst than euro Disney. No charm staff so rude. I did all the ride in 3 hours and was bored. I'm a Disney fan since my first visit 1974. No special magic here. Even I ask the security Gard to smile because we don't come in prison. Please do something else with your money and your time.
  • Definitely and Surely the best place to visit in shanghai. Traveler Tip: A day in this park is not enough to experience everything. I recommend that you make use of the two day pass because with a great planning skills, you can surely visit every show and attraction in the area. Plus: This Disneyland has the Biggest and brightest castle in all disneylands all over the world.
