Where to stay in Shanghai

As one of China's top commercial cities and tourist destinations, Shanghai offers accommodations that range from backpacker-friendly haunts to five-star hotels in futuristic skyscrapers. Few world cities can rival Shanghai in terms of room variety, services, and prices, and all types of travelers can easily find suitable options based on their preference and budget limitations. Puxi and Pudong remain probably the best options for most foreign visitors, as these areas offer both modern hotels packed with amenities and older establishments loaded with traditional charm.

  • Very big park in the downtown area, it's a nice touch with a little more green space to take a breath (mask not inlcuded) from this incredibly busy city! A lot of differents activities to enjoy, from a simple walk, to jogging, to tai chi, to the weekend marriage market!
  • Many people on a square, my advice is to go outside vacation period. Even though the many people going here, this is a must visit wile in Shanghai.
  • Though this place can be pretty crowded you still have a great view from here.
  • Offer a nice break from the city. Tons of people still but the park is big, green, well kept, well designed and relatively clean. Have area where you can feed pigeons. Perfect for stroll after museum visit.
  • A nice open space in the middle of Shanghai and a great meeting point. However if crowds aren't your thing you may be highly overwhelmed.
