Birthplace of Chinese Communist Party, Shanghai
(2.4/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Vivid wax dolls, artifacts, and pictures capture one of the most important moments in modern Chinese history at Birthplace of Chinese Communist Party. The museum spreads over two floors, the first of which shows the living room where the Communist party was born, displayed intact as it was on July 23, 1921. The grand exhibition hall on the second floor offers a more general history, displaying photographs, documents, and revolutionary relics. Stroll around the wax hall, where you'll feel as if the great Mao Zedong is giving a stirring speech to his revolutionary comrades right here, right now. While the museum has Western-style restrooms, its information boards are only in Chinese. With our international travel planner, Shanghai attractions like Birthplace of Chinese Communist Party can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.
