#3 of 35 in Parks in Qingdao
The largest and oldest park in the city, Qingdao Zhongshan Park offers a green escape from Qingdao’s bustle. Boasting over 100,000 plants from more than 360 species, the park makes a popular spot for locals to visit on weekends. Spacious and spanning 75 ha (185 ac), the park serves a small botanical garden with oak trees, magnolias and coffee trees, and also features a small zoo and an amusement park for children. Stroll around and enjoy the scenery, including a 600 m long (1,970 ft) boulevard with over 20,000 cherry trees brought from Japan, or simply sit around and watch people having a picnic. When evening Lantern Festival. There seems to be money but when we saw did not start to vote. Very lucky. General Park there are flowers all year round. There is nothing within a very short period of time (^ _ ^) is generally a good Park. Rides cost money. Zoo is adjacent to the Park to buy a ticket. Animals do not have anything special.

for a nice walk you can up until the antenna TV (which can not be visited) out of the park with a chair lift and descend on the zhanshan temple. The descent by chairlift offers a beautiful view of the city.

An unbelievably beautiful park in the middle of a city where you wouldn't expect it. The cherry blossoms are a fantastic site.

Where to stay in Qingdao

For upmarket, high-rise hotels in Qingdao, look at the area to the east of the center, largely revamped in time for the 2008 Olympics. Here, skyscraper chain hotels jostle for position on the main streets, offering sea views and a wealth of additional facilities, while humbler options sit on the side streets, offering more basic lodgings, but still in new blocks. To the west, the more historic districts have a good set of hostels, hotels, and guesthouses to suit a wide range of budgets and tastes.
