Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web
Experience the unique Chinese beach culture with tents and conservative swimwear at Qingdao Shilaoren Bathing Beach, a fine sandy stretch in the Laoshan District. This is Qingdao Bathing Beach No. 2, or “The Old Stone Man“ beach, named after an oddly-shaped 17 m (55 ft) tall rock springing from the sea, resembling an old man sitting in the sea or a fisherman waiting for his daughter. Relax and people-watch or play beach sports on finely grained sand. Qindao boasts some of the best beaches on the east coast, with this beach coming towards the top of the list. You can use the beach's changing rooms, showers, and locker service during the high season, and you can also rent speedboats and ATVs. Food and water, especially water, better take with you, to find adequate grocery nearby is another problem.
