  • Impressive building with great views on the sea. The entrance fee is only 8.5rmb, and it's really worth it to get in and walk around. If you'd have to decide, this or the Princess House, pick this one!
  • Very beautiful building. Very affordable entrance fee. Recommended for a visit.

Where to stay in Qingdao

For upmarket, high-rise hotels in Qingdao, look at the area to the east of the center, largely revamped in time for the 2008 Olympics. Here, skyscraper chain hotels jostle for position on the main streets, offering sea views and a wealth of additional facilities, while humbler options sit on the side streets, offering more basic lodgings, but still in new blocks. To the west, the more historic districts have a good set of hostels, hotels, and guesthouses to suit a wide range of budgets and tastes.
