Take a walk through the vast park centered around Xuanwu lake, sprinkled with small, verdant islands that are linked by bridges. Have a lakeside picnic in the shade of ginkgo and cherry blossom trees, or on one of the scenic islets, home to numerous bird species, flowers, and lotus ponds. Take a boat ride on the lake and enjoy strolling through the rose and peony gardens, bamboo groves, and willow trees of the islets. • Every time a small partner to play in Nanjing I will take them here, the beautiful scenery I have seen, especially in the last period of snow. Although the lake is strong, but there are still a lot of where, so, this can be regarded as a postcard in Nanjing!

  • Amazing to have such a place right in the heart of a huge city! Feels like a small getaway from daily rush. We went during the week and there were only few others. Beautiful gardens to enjoy the tranq...  more »
  • In addition to being able to see a section of the city wall, the sight-seeing ship that rides the lake listens to the simple navigation is also a relaxing way. After a half hour of the lake you can also take a walk in the park to see the scenery of the lake just heard. If you do not want to catch the scene, in this leisurely afternoon light is also a kind of enjoyment

  • Went with my girlfriend today and spent a few hours there. We took a little tour bus for ¥30 each and it lasted about 20-30min I think. They stopped twice for us to get out and the 2nd time was when the tour was over. We walked around the gardens and island all the way to where there was a pagoda. They have boat rides which were too much money and you have to pay to go on the wall which we weren't gonna pay for. Plenty of little souvenir stands and places to eat and drink.
  • good view and it's Free.
  • 玄武湖是天然湖泊。但是也許成為觀光區,美景比較人工化,也也許是觀光客比較多,環境有點髒亂,不是我個人喜歡的天然美景。湖旁有些賣小吃的攤販。有收費環湖車可搭。

Where to stay in Nanjing

You won't find a shortage of accommodations in Nanjing, a modern metropolis long on the radars of domestic and international tourists. Look south of the main railway station, following Central Road, to find the primary districts where visitors stay, with clusters of high-rise hotels--some luxurious and others standard, but all comfortable. A number of smaller boutiques set in formerly residential buildings provide atmospheric, well-maintained, and budget-friendly options. Take a look at the side streets around Central Road for a wealth of hostels and guesthouses.
