Channeled towards the city in the third century BCE, the river has since given life to a bustling spot where culture and commerce meet. An important tributary of the Yangtse River, a number of prestigious temples have been built on the river banks, most notably Confucius Temple.   • Visit at night, everything is beautifully lit, many cafes and restaurants in the area I recommend!

  • It is a historically poetic river. By now it still looks nice with many shops, restaurants,etc. A night visit should be nice.
