The lifeblood of Nanjing city, Qin Huai River has shaped local life since Neolithic times. An important tributary of the Yangtse River, a number of prestigious temples have been built on the river banks, most notably Confucius Temple. Take a boat tour along the river to enjoy Nanjing by day or night, checking out a range of different wharfs as you go. You can stroll along river banks and sample local cuisine amid traditinal buildings, or visit a local market on the riverside. Cross the 700-year-old bridge and admire the scenery of the city from above the water.
