Dating back to the 4th century, Jiming Temple remains among the area's oldest and most active Buddhist temples. This easily accessible temple has changed many rulers through the ages; today, it houses more than 30 nuns, and receives numerous pilgrims and tourists year-round. Impressive stone lions guard the entrance gate of the temple, featuring a 45 m (148 ft) pagoda.
