Star of Nanchang, Nanchang
(3.4/5 based on 90 reviews on the web)
Take a ride on Star of Nanchang, observing panoramic views of the city from a height of 160 m (525 ft). Opened in 2006, it was the tallest of its kind in the world, until it was superseded two years later. Taking half an hour to complete a single revolution, you're afforded time to relax and watch your view evolve. Though the gondolas are supposedly air-conditioned, it's worth visiting after the heat of the day has subsided a little. Consider a nighttime excursion, when the wheel lights up like a kaleidoscope.
