A collection of old colonial era houses that have been converted into galleries and a simple museum, overlooking a lake and tall hotels where the sea once was. A relaxing experience where you can just walk around and enjoy the scenery, as well as soak in the history of the place. The place boasts a nice view for photos as well, with a neighbouring garden with different themes throughout the year.

Free entrance... a nice place to take a pic... on the outside... the inside are too dark and gloomy... but there's a lot of interesting vintage objects inside

Where to stay in Macau

Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.
