Macao Science Center, Macau

4.0
An engaging and educational experience for all ages, Macao Science Center offers a wide range of dynamic exhibits that make science come alive. Try the many interactive displays and games available, and visit the planetarium for a high definition show with 3D projection. Great for children, the center includes entertaining activities for kids to play while they learn. Admire the distinct asymmetrical shape of the building, designed by renowned architect I. M. Pei, and walk along the spiral stairwell with galleries and exhibits on the sides. Pick up some refreshments at the cafe or onsite fast food restaurant, and keep in mind that you don't need to haul around your things, as there are locker facilities available. Put Macao Science Center into our Macau driving holiday website to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Macau.

  • Ticket prices are cheap, although the science Museum is not a small place, but there are different kinds of exhibits, you can teach the children from different scientific knowledge, and the free room for children to play music area, very suitable for the size of a family.

  • MSC is best suited for kids below 10 years old. Situated in a very futuristic looking building, it has 14 sections to explore. My 8 year old child spend almost 2 hrs exploring all the areas and trying...  more »

  • One of the best science museums - for children or adults - that I've ever been to. Extremely affordable too.
  • It was a great place one year ago. But this time, many exhibits are broken. Won't plan to go there again in near future unless they improve the maintenance.
  • Great place for kids, but kinda smaller than HK's 1.
  • The best activities for young and old kid. Best family day out activities in Macao!
  • it's really suitable for children, they will never be bored at the museum, air-conditioned playground inside the museum is a MUST visit for young children and their parents.

Where to stay in Macau

Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.
