  • This museum, besides being situated on a beautiful viewpoint, is interested and worth a trip if you want to see how the life in the old Portuguese enclave of Macau was. I enjoyed the history.

  • A very nice museum to learn the histories of Macao and its culture. The museum is built above a hill at an old fort. There are escalators to take people up to the museum (very handy if you travel with older people and children). There is ruins of st paul opposite the museum. We went there on Christmas day, and entry was free that day. We took many great photos outside the museum. There are many old cannons lining up the fort wall
  • Museum of Macao....is well designed in its layout, tracing the Chinese occupation to its colonization by the Portuguese after the arrival of Vasco da Gama....the formation and discovery of new trade routes from Europe to India and South china sea .....3D models of city layout and Colonial buildings are on display..... artefacts from war , paintings and performing arts are included....the terrace garden and view of the city concludes the comprehensive historical tour.....
  • A collection of exhibits of old Macau. It is a time capsule, with an ideal image of Macau as a place of encounter of two cultures, the Portuguese, the Chinese and the resulting Macanese culture. Having been built in 1998 it represents the mood of the city just by the handover. It isn't too big a museum and the space is quite nice, well documented, presented and taken care of. Being underground learning about Macau's history seems perfectly adequate, more so once you come out on top of the hill and have a panoramic view of the real present city below.
  • A very amusing and informative museum. The best thing is that it has a lot of interactive stuff where you can learn by application. It’s very worth a visit. You can take around 2 hours to have a look on everything inside.
  • This museum is located up the hill with nice view over Macau. The museum briefly introduces the history of Macau and houses some interesting relics. It is not crowded even on a Saturday afternoon.
