(3.7/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Tour the preserved Lou Kau Mansion, the former home of a prominent Chinese merchant who owned many properties in the area. Similar to other traditional buildings around Macau, the mansion boasts a mix of European and Chinese design elements throughout its two stories. Browse the rich interior and imagine the lavish 19th-century lifestyle enjoyed at this building. View the temporary exhibits and drop by a small art gallery on the upper floor. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Macau holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Lou Kau Mansion and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The original is in Guangdong Province, China Merchants China Shaoxing Lushi Villa. Look there is a Chinese atmosphere and building Western-style atmosphere is inside. It is a world heritage site in the middle of the Alley entrance, so hard to understand.

  • Unique sight along streets of Macau. Well preserved old style Chinese house. Nothing much to see though.
  • Definitely unique. A Chinese style multi-courtyard house with some beautiful architecture. Not as many tourists as other atractions nearby.
  • Nice colonial-styled place (entrance is free of charge) with surprisingly few visitors. Properly maintained & full of small interesting details - you can take some great pictures here
