  • Unless you have never seen a Chinese mansion before, this is only worth a ten minute look if you are already in the area. Rather bare and not much to see.  more »
  • Where the entrance is slightly confusing. So when I visited and I had work in the building next to the pram in the bells and whistles. World Heritage site marked with the security people had thought the first food shop across from the warehouse or something, so I finally understood. While small, the image of a great haunted house and disillusioned. Found the fusion of cultures, such as glass doors and decorative, furniture, but really... May be good as well, before eating, we walked passed and the hakazu.

  • House habited by a famous person in Macau. Now preserved as a show case of architectural and decorations of that old era.
  • UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Beautiful Cantonese style. Small and decent.
  • Unique sight along streets of Macau. Well preserved old style Chinese house. Nothing much to see though.
  • Definitely unique. A Chinese style multi-courtyard house with some beautiful architecture. Not as many tourists as other atractions nearby.
  • Nice colonial-styled place (entrance is free of charge) with surprisingly few visitors. Properly maintained & full of small interesting details - you can take some great pictures here

Where to stay in Macau

Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.
