View an audio/visual spectacle as the golden Dragon of Fortune rises out of the floor spewing smoke and creating a dazzling light show. The roof and floor decorated with Chinese zodiac signs open up to let the golden dragon rise up to a height of 8.5 m (28 ft). The golden eyes of the dragon light along with two LCD screens above and below, depicting animations of flame and lightning. Kids enjoy the captivating display of a statue that seems to breathe fire as smoke permeates the room from its flaring nostrils. Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.

  • OK, it:s tacky, but this is Macau, after all, so why not? e waited a good fifteen minutes to see the mechanical dragon rise out of the floor , do a twirl, roar, and disappear back into the floor. Late...  more »
  • Located in one of the Wynn Resort Lobbys in Macau. I think the other performance (with the tree) is more interesting.  more »
  • The show lasted for about 5mins and alternates with the Tree of Prosperity show (30min interval). Watch if you happen to be in the area but it is not something to wait on.  more »
