Coloane, Macau

4.3
#1 of 26 in Parks in Macau
The small island of Coloane combines Portuguese architectural heritage with Taoist temples and simple fishing lodges. For centuries, the island was a sea salt farm for China; it became a base for pirates after the arrival of the Portuguese. The colorful village centers on the main square, paved in black, white, and yellow cobblestones. Hike one of the 11 trails of varying difficulty, leading through lush greenery and past barbecue pits and reservoirs of blue water, or head down to the waterfront to admire the view of the mainland. • This is the top edge of the Macau S.A.R.. By bus from near the Lisboa Hotel just 30 minutes. You do not need taxi all the way because buses are running fine. If you look on Google. It is conducted on weekdays, people very sparsely populated and deserted. 流tei time relaxing and helpful. Ahn DEOK Lu 咖啡 Museum's famous egg tart, except for local residents after watching Church will end by about a greengrocer, etc.. To look around and change will come in 30 minutes. Might be better spent when mixed with local residents there is a bench in front of the Church or at the seaside, from the relaxed and to be healed.

  • temple of sea goddess and one more buddhist temple on top of mountain.. good stop ...try your hand at the rubbing bowl... and offer incense to the sea goddess...  more »
  • Macau S.A.R. Centre from about 30 minutes by bus. At the southern end of the Macau S.A.R.. Macau egg tarts, here are really delicious. So you end up eating about three. Come to eat so much in just a good. And walked around, I would say 30 minutes.

  • Beautiful;)
  • Beautifully calm...peaceful!
  • Shared toilet load Stow's Garden Café inside the residential side is not easy to find.

Where to stay in Macau

Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.
