#4 of 26 in Parks in Macau
Garden Nature / Park
Stroll through Camoes Garden and Grotto for some peace and quiet away from the busy streets. One of the oldest parks in Macau, this site is dedicated to a renowned Portuguese poet, carrying his surname and displaying his bust underneath a rocky arch. Enjoy a book or have a picnic within the lush greenery, observe the locals going about their business,  or play chess with friends. Take note of the bronze statue symbolizing the friendly relations between China and Portugal and pay your respects at the old cemetery, filled with headstones marking the graves of foreign merchants and missionaries who made Macau their home. Make Camoes Garden and Grotto a part of your Macau vacation plans using our Macau family vacation planner.

  • White 鴿 nest Park small calculations I've come over the travel, but now travel, change one San Francisco view point, people chatting, 've less good games come. Park although San Francisco, but the Environment was still not wrong, no ruins people likes to see Macau Ningbo felt something can come of.

  • In the small square in front of Park residents are doing Tai Chi, and だbettari on the bench, and atmosphere. When entering the park side's normal Park fountain and Tropical Botanical Garden State is in the back. Welcomed by the thick vegetation. Though (didn't go far back) was actually turned on the small hill, was relatively strong strength.

  • Heard that the most famous Portuguese poet Luis de Camoes lived there so that's why the garden is named by him. Peaceful and calm place in Macau.
  • The beautiful natural park
  • Calming park with beautiful scenic views. I went here in January 2015 and it was a very relaxing place to be. the park is well maintained and has some excellent areas from which to see Macau. There are play areas for children and a cemetery nearby of foreigners from the mid 1800s. I could not imagine there would be such a peaceful place in the middle of a thriving city.
  • Nice place to relax and stay away from the craziness of Macau.
  • Cozy and laid back place!

Where to stay in Macau

Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.
