Ao Dang Bridge, Macau

2.5
#44 of 92 in Sightseeing in Macau
Bridge Tourist Spot
Ao Dang Bridge links the main island of Macau to Taipa and serves primarily for automotive transport. Walking space is small and some tourists find the bridge too long to cross on foot. Driving across this structure grants you pleasant views of Macau and the harbor with its famous statue of the goddess of mercy. The hump mid-way across the bridge is reminiscent of a giant serpent emerging partially above the surface. Where to stay in Macau

Cotai Strip in Macau offers luxury hotels, with famous names providing rooms looking out over the harbor and down into the historical center. Establishments in this area also feature onsite entertainment options and Vegas-style casinos. Look for more affordable options north of Nam Van Lake, where chain and boutique hotels provide rooms with views of the city, the harbor, and across to China proper. Head farther north for lower rates offered by hostels and apartment rentals.
