  • 相比南京博物院之类的博物馆显得没有多少当地特色,去看过两次展览,记得比较深的是有段时间抽象画的展览,平时一直有的是恐龙和青铜器等。
  • Went with a friend, we had a gray time wondering around and looking at the items. Very limited English but even so things were interesting to see. The tad bit of English there was was useful and cool ...  more »
  • Moved to the suburbs, yet, not after. With new exhibits for the beautiful and pretty there. Dayan officer once the street from the opposite side. Worry-free visit from the entrance to the hotel room so I think. Unfortunately real seal replica is real in Beijing is like. During World War II exhibits inhibitory in the staff.

  • Impressive new building further outside the centre of town (moved from the previous site in 2015), meant we had to get a bus and metro to reach it. Positives: brand new, free, varied exhibits, pretty much empty as not sure many people know about it/can be bothered to travel out to it, some interesting artefacts, especially the ceramics and some of the Yunnan specific history and ethnic clothing. Negatives: English signs and descriptions leave a lot to be desired by just labelling the item and frequently not even dating the objects, perhaps the 20 yuan audio guide would be worth it as a lot of the additional info with exhibits is only in Chinese. This made it a bit dull to walk around the 3 huge floors after a while. Cafe has no English and pretty poor selection. Also no signs for which direction to walk around the floors, found ourselves going back in time on a couple of occasions. Worth a visit if you have a decent amount of time in Kunming, if on a tight schedule then wouldn't suggest the trip out and the 3 odd hours required to walk around are worth it.
