4/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web
Admire the panorama of Lake Dianchi and Kunming from Kunming Dragon Gate, an observation deck and a grotto complex perched on a steep cliff. Carved into Western Hills and part of the highest temple in the area, the colorful gate stands at an altitude of 2,500 m (8,000 ft), overlooking a precipitous cliff. Inside the cliff, 18th-century monks created a number of caves, corridors, and pavilions. Take a chairlift up to the top of the mountain and then walk down to the gate via stone stairs through scenic evergreen woods. There is a restaurant near the site. • This is a "must do" while visiting Kunming. We went under our own steam and enjoyed it at a fraction of the cost of a tour. Taxi out and taxi back saved a heap of cash.
  • Nishiyama got the rope we thought provided the Nishiyama park entrance, ticket and peaks line Longwe fee is required in addition. Charges under the law PUE with 200 and is less than the former, but in the departure location should indicate the no or complain to. Spectacular going on such complaints, though no doubt.
