  • Nothing in this city is fully actualized to potential. Nice but not wow! No English anywhere. This whole city is NOT geared to foreign tourists.
  • For 280 rmb, we saw a sold out show that was surprisingly good. It showed costumes of all the ethnic groups in the area and used some terrific stage props. They spared no expense putting it together. ...  more »

  • Elephant show 10am 2:50 4:30. Bird show In between but not worth. Kunmings nationality park elephant show better. Nice park and Zongfosi temple at south end is worth it
  • An extensive park in the south-east of Xishuangbanna containing a wide variety of tropical and sub-tropical plants. A large lake runs through the park and boats are available for hire at certain times of year. Live animal performances attract many Chinese visitors. Parrots and other tropical birds put on several displays throughout the day while in another arena captive elephants perform three times a day. Sadly these animals all show signs of 'abnormal repetitive behaviour' (ARB). The two captive elephants showed obvious signs of ARB such as repetitive pacing backwards and forwards as well as head swaying. Some of the birds also showed similar signs of ARB as well as self-plucking. Aside of such circus like performance, often banned in the west, the park is nonetheless a pleasant walk through. It is also home to a large Buddhist temple which is accessed by crossing the bridge that divides the lake.
  • 公园里的演出和篝火晚会还是值得一看的。
  • 常有长腿妹子出没
