Walk to the summit of Qianfoshan, a hill renowned for containing images of Buddha carved into the rock faces. A major place of worship, the hill boasts the largest Buddha statue in northern China. Enjoy the scenery before visiting the famed Xinguochan Temple, with offers views of Jinan City to the north. On the cliff side, the Wanfo Dong cavern is home to over 23,000 representations of Buddha, including one measuring 28 m (92 ft). Where to stay in Jinan

True to form as a transport hub, Jinan offers a wide range and variety of accommodations. Luxurious hotels tend to group in the chic southeastern part of the city, with surprisingly affordable options in this trendy area of town. Many major international chains are represented in the city, as well as plenty of places to choose from in the low-budget category. A number of hotels and guesthouses cluster near the train station, offering great proximity to onward transport connections, but not to the major tourist sites. Daming Lake and Wuliou Residential District also have a number of budget hotels.

  • This place has cable cars and sliders. Although there are plenty of steps to climb, it was good fun. There are also play area for little kids.  more »
  • Beautiful easy to walk track. A lot of greenery inside perfect for exercise as there are a lot of steps and the path is not that steep so you can run up with ease. Go at 7pm and you don't have to pay....  more »
  • When i went the views weren't amazing because of the smog but still felt great to get to the stop and see the buddhist temples at the peak. There is also a giant gold Buddha which is worth seeing. It ...  more »
