Yuntaishan Geopark, Jiaozuo

(4.6/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Marvel at a wide array of rock formations and geological oddities at Yuntaishan Geopark, a protected area also home to waterfalls, forests, and towering mountains. Formed by the slow yet steady processes of plate tectonics, the park's features range from low river valleys to the looming peaks of the Taihang Mountains. Hike along the park's network of walking trails to explore, crossing stone bridges and passing alongside sheer cliffs as you go. Keep in mind that the park can get extremely crowded at times, so you may need to step aside occasionally in order to keep to your own pace. Use our Jiaozuo travel itinerary planner to arrange your visit to Yuntaishan Geopark and other attractions in Jiaozuo.

  • In the Park are several picturesque places, but the best of them is the Red stone valley and Zhuyu Peak. Red Valley is amazing, beautiful combination of red rocks and lush vegetation, no wonder there are many professional photographers. Waterfalls, caves, narrow gorges-all this will be remembered for a long time, and I want to go here again. Remember the trip through the tunnel to Zhuyu Peak, steep climb to the top of the temple, overlooking all the surrounding area. Here is an interesting U-shaped glass trail around the rock. Very recommend to visit this place, even if there will be a lot of people.
