  • This set is given as the second largest temple dedicated to Confucius. For the interest of its buildings, its Park... he deserves long moments of strolling. While he is in town, it offers, in the framing of a beautiful arch, a long perspective on the neighbouring peaks. The place is spared by the groups of tourists, we meet well a few independent visitors, but mostly people absorbed in chess... or the tranquility of the place.

  • Walking through the quiet streets of the old town of Jianshui we visit the Confucius Temple dating back to the Yuan dynasty (d. 1285 C); covers an area of 7.5 hectares and is the third-largest Confucian Temple in China. Confucius can be a very interesting and controversial character. The atmosphere that reigns in the gardens of the Temple of Confucius is relaxing, also for the immense expanse of lotus flowers covering the pond inside the largest I have ever seen so far. Things to gape for such wonders before our eyes. Among the most interesting aspects of the Confucius temple complex, Barbara and I remember the pond with a pavilion in the Middle can be reached along a stone bridge, the statues that surround it and the multitude of fish that we wallow happy and well fed.

  • This temple is really very large, first of all a lake with a Pavilion at the centre. Then, a succession of door and statue. The entrance costs 60 yuan.
