Western Market, Hong Kong
Categories: Shopping Malls, Shopping
One of the oldest structures in the region, and the oldest surviving marketplace in the city, Western Market attracts tourists with its status as a protected historical landmark and authentic local marketplace. Among the stores here are a Bavarian-style bakery, a place where you can sample Chinese desserts, several cafes, and souvenir shops stocking traditional Chinese and Hong Kong goods. There is also a bar and restaurant on the top floor, where a sizable function room plays host to dance nights. With our custom trip planner, Hong Kong attractions like Western Market can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

マーケットというからオシャレなものを期待していったけど、中は普通の喫茶店やら軽食、生地屋さんと何も面白くなかった。外観はレンガ造りでちょっとだけレトロだった。Said the market was expecting something fashionable, but Draper's Cafe in the normal and light snacks, and dull. Brick was slightly retro look.show original
満記甜品目的で行って、ちょっとだけのぞきましたが、見るべきものはないです。衣類関係や軽食、喫茶などありますが、ビル自体も小さいです。Manchuria Annals sweet things to see on the item, just a little over, but no. Relationship between clothing, snacks and coffee, but also the building itself small.show original

classic. historic. nearly a must-go for tourists nearby.
A beautiful piece of architecture !
It is a market, but in a cool part of town. It is also at the start of one of the lines for the Ding Ding tram, so you can just head here and then hop on the Ding Ding to ride around Hong Kong side from start of the line to the finish.
