Wander through the growing neighborhood of Tung Chung, one of Hong Kong's "new towns." Previously a rural area urbanized to accommodate the city's expanding population, this neighborhood still contains century-old temples and military fortifications, complete with cannons and stone gateways. Hunt for some great deals at the modern shopping complexes and factory outlets, or ride the sky rail to nearby Ngong Ping to view the world's largest seated Buddha statue. Use our Hong Kong trip itinerary maker to visit Tung Chung on your trip to Hong Kong, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

  • It is very convenient because it can be reached directly by the S1 bus Airport Terminal 2. And from this station to Ngong Ping can get immediately by ropeway and outlet on the front of the station, located near the sea so suited to walking. Many locals have walking and running from quite early in the morning. The pool in front of it is recommended that water quality is much better and is not so nomikomanai the water is careful. Has been still developing area so construction is very beautiful sea and the city itself.

  • 東涌本來沒有什麼特別,是一個本地人住的新市鎮而已,有巴士連接大嶼山各部分 但自從有了東涌線,遊1客可以更方便的從香港各地來到東涌再到大嶼山各景點,十分方便
