  • This university is quite impressive. There are departments and floors over 30 floors up in the sky. The building is built right against a hill. The laboratories are old and overcrowded but the walkway...  more »
  • With the MTR, you can travel to Hong Kong Island (blue line) and visit The University of Hong Kong. The campus is very big and you can visit Centennial Campus which is new.
  • To get to HKU, take the tram to Whitty St or MTR to HKU. At Whitty St, look for the MTR sign to get to the station. It's a short 2-minute walk. Exit at A2. I had wanted to go to the Art Museum, but it...  more »

  • The administrative staff and nurses at the University Health Service are extremely unfriendly. Most of the time they look at you as if to say "Why are you even seeing the doctor for this?" And are very impatient with dealing with you. I can probably try to empathise with them, but even then they are very inconsiderate and unsympathetic of the patient. Service or friendliness does not exist in this clinic. I had very bad experiences with them.
  • Plenty of open green space for the public to do exercise, hang out, and tai chi, which is not a common sight in other local universities due to distance from residential area and transport accessibility. People make the campus alive!
  • Established in 1911, HKU is the oldest university in Hong Kong. The Main Building , completed in the Edwardian style in 1912, is a declared monument. Several other early-20th-century buildings on the campus, including the Hung Hing Ying (1919) and Tang Chi Ngong Buildings (1929), are also protected.
  • New and comfortable campus for tertiary studies. Convenient transport.
  • Went there during university open day. Historical place in Hong Kong and probably the oldest university. Good place for photo taking.
