Categories: Neighborhoods, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.9/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web
Get to know the fishing community at Tai O, where locals have built interconnected houses on stilts above Lantau Island's tidal flats. Foodies will drool over the seafood, and photographers will spend all day clicking away at this unique village. When you go, look for the Rope-drawn Bridge, a drawbridge built in 1996 to connect the village and the island, as well as shops selling famous dried seaweed, salted fish, shrimp paste, and seafood sauce. A truly authentic village atmosphere. Plan your visit to Tai O and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Hong Kong itinerary maker.
